The shareholders united in the trading company are united by the objective of creating fair trade between North and South as well as sustainable development based on the guidelines of Fair Trade.
Trade at eye level - mindful use of resources
We have been taking responsibility for people and the environment since 1977. For us, it is a matter of course to use the natural reserves of our planet as little as necessary. For us, careful and sustainable cultivation means that we work with our producers on organic farming wherever possible and support them financially and with know-how during the conversion. Socially acceptable working conditions and equal rights for women are among our binding principles. We treat our trading partners as equals.

claro relies on long-term partnerships. Our fair trade enables an improvement of the living situation of producers in Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East. We commit ourselves to buy goods from them on a regular basis. If a producer organization faces a challenge or a development step that it cannot master on its own, we provide personal or financial support. In this way, we help families, villages and regions to build up and maintain their economic existence in the long term and create prospects for a self-determined life.
